rollargirl 210 Posted April 2, 2013 Hello, I'm booked in for the spider technique (through the belly button) with dr Garcia May 11. Just wondering as its fairly new if anyone else has had this done w him? I have heard before a few people saying they'd had it done (w great results) but can't remember if they were specifically from surgery w him. Thank you
Afrodite82 148 Posted April 2, 2013 Hi Rollargirl, I'd only heard of this procedure once before your posting, so I sure hope you are able to find out a little more about it. I'm very interested, myself. May I inquire how much Dr. Garcia is charging for that method? I understand its a little more time consuming. Thanks! 1 MamaC reacted to this

rollargirl 210 Posted April 2, 2013 I know! I was almost heading to cancun for mine .. It costs an extra $1000 but I'm happy to pay that as long as he's not "practising" on me lol ... Alma said he's done "like a hundred" but I'm just doing a little more investigating ????
msjazzyldy 49 Posted April 3, 2013 What are the requirements to have this done...I'm interested in this as well..... BTW you and I are having surgery the same day, same doctor I hope to see you there!
rollargirl 210 Posted April 3, 2013 Hi! Don't quote me but I think u have to be under 40 BMI and that's all I've heard. It's a trickier surgery (obviously) and takes longer so it's $1000 more - see you at the hotel in 5 ish weeks!
msjazzyldy 49 Posted April 3, 2013 My bad you said May 11 you're having surgery I am having surgery April 11....lol.....I can't 4/11 out if my head my apologies!!!

Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted April 4, 2013 Just wondering why you are choosing this method? Is it the scars you don't want? Dr Garcia has performed thousands of sleeve surgeries the traditional way and is an excellent surgeon. 100 belly button ones are not alot. The scars fade so light that you can barely see mine. It says there's less healing time & less pain - good for our long journey home. I'd prefer 1 incision spot to 4 , even if the scarring is minimal I have scaring around my areola from a reaction to sutchers from my reduction so would start feeling like bride of Frankenstein .. Also I don't particularly like my belly button (it's very deep) so a new one is just fine by me!
hurley911 59 Posted April 4, 2013 I think you have to be 30-35 bmi in order to do song lee with him.. FYI but I could be wrong?
Afrodite82 148 Posted April 4, 2013 For me this one is a no-brainer; as Rollargirl has already pointed out, faster healing time, less pain, hidden scar. In my case, brown skin tends to scar very darkly, and the scars do not fade. 3 TES, rollargirl and Liz210 reacted to this
Afrodite82 148 Posted April 4, 2013 Oh yes, and the surgery is offered to those with a bmi of 39 or lower. 2 rollargirl and Molly3 reacted to this
