losingpains 2 Posted April 2, 2013 Hi all, My apologies for bringing TMI to the table so to speak, but I am not sure if I should be concerned or not. I had surgery on March 13 and my cycle started 6 days later (19th). It ended on the 25th, and just now I noticed that I appear to be starting my cycle again -- only 8 days after it ended. I know cycles can be wonky after surgery, so that isn't what worries me. It is just the timing because I went to the gym today for the first time and did cardio for an hour. Less than an hour later I notice the spotting. Is this something I should be concerned about? Could they be linked or is my body just being wonky? Thanks in advance! Trying not to panic here. DrmBig4Evr 152 Posted April 2, 2013 I had the same thing happen to me. I am not too worried, but if you are bleeding excessively I'd call the doc asap.
JolieBug 82 Posted April 2, 2013 If you soak a pad or tampon in an hour, call immediately. 1 DrmBig4Evr reacted to this

Seems a little early to be doing that intense of a workout. Your body needs time to heal or you could tear open your incisions. Ask your dr. If it is ok to be doing that already. My surgeon said to wait 6-8 weeks before intense workouts.
losingpains 2 Posted April 2, 2013 Thanks all. I may give them a call. I was cleared at my 1 week follow up to do cardio -- just not allowed weights at least until my 3 month follow up. It definitely wasn't what I would call an intense workout - just an even pace (2.8 mph or less) for a long time. That's why having my Ipad and Netflix is going to be my best workout tool.
