Im a little over 3months out and havent lost any weight for the past 4 weeks. Im sooo frustrated with that and to top it if the amount of hair im losing is crazy....

Today a coworker goes "whats wrong with ur operation, ive seen you in the same weight since forever! I expected you looking like a barbie by now" i almost broke down in tears. I held it in and went to cry in the bathroom. What am i doing wrong! Why am i not losing???? I eat between 600-900 cal a day, mostly Protein. I am excercising, my Water intake can be vetter but really???? Its been 4weeks in the same weight! Im soooo frustrated. I really hope i didnt do this to stop losing at 3months out. I have 50-60 more to go.

Has anyone had a stall this soon out for such a long time and then began losing again?

You may not be getting all your rights nutrients in. Im sure that will cause you to stall and make your hair fall out. You ever hear people say starvation mode??? The problem maybe your actually not eating enough. Whats types of food are you eating???

Track everything in MyFitnessPal. I know ... it's a pain in the butt, but do it. Get into the habit now, it will pay dividends later.

When you exercise, are you working up a big sweat or just going through the motions? You gotta get your heart rate up for exercise to count, IMO.

Don't use the scale. Give yourself a one month break. It can only provide discouragement which can lead to cheating.

Get your liquids up.

Just keep doing the right thing and it will happen. This is one of the reasons why I think it does us no good to share that we are having the surgery. Other people just don't understand the process.

I do 30min in treadmill to HR 135. And 15min on elliptical to HR 160.... I try to do this 3-4x a week.

Stalls can last for awhile. If you haven't already, I'd take your measurements because when the scale stops moving is usually when your body is catching up by losing inches. I am 3 1/2 mo. out and stalled for a good 3 weeks and am only down 44 lbs....but I've lost over 18" and am down 3 sizes. Don't get discouraged...it will start up again.

Woo Hoo! Perfect. I love hearing this.

Don't let what other people say get you down. The next time someone asks why you don't look smaller, just say, "No, I'm doing great. By the way, I can get you my surgeon's information if you'd like it."

That will shut them up. Like Traci says, stalls can last for awhile. It is a natural part of this journey. Just keep doing the right things and it will happen.

People did know about my surgery and I never had anybody say anything rude like that. screw 'em.

this is YOUR journey and it is a different one then everybody else. Don't let it get you down, stay strong and just remember... you WILL be thinner and your friend there will likely always been an insensitive a$$.

All great advice. I am almost 14 months out and have lost 122 pounds. I had lost over 50 and no one noticed. Very discouraging for sure. But your opinion is the only one that matters! I stalled a couple of times and realized I wasn't eating enough. As perpetual dieters we were incorrectly taught that less is more. Less food = more weight loss and although that is true with "bad" foods it is not the case with healthy foods. Especially Protein after WLS. Remember as you loose, your body's needs change, so your intake must also change or your body will go into starvation mode and you won't loose. Make sure you're following all your nutritional guidelines, protein, calories, supplements and Water, water, Water! and Don't give up! Attitude is everything! It will happen!!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
