I thought the new stomach was only able to hold 3.5-4oz of food at once? I just finished off my "first" chobani 6 oz yogurt with no problem. Toward the end I got that "full" feeling (new experience for me) , but my point being that I was able to eat all 6 oz in one short sitting. And yes, this was my first "solid" meal and I didn't eat it slowly because..it was ..solid..and I could wrap my tongue and teeth around it. Come on, you know what I'm talking about after drinking fluids for weeks on end, lol. . Has anyone else experience this, or did they not take enough in the OR, or does yogurt go down easier and kind of treat it like a liquid? I kind of feel defeated a bit. I had a gf who said she was done after 2 bites of yogurt and yes, I shouldn't compare, but it does make me wonder. You know?

I'm a little further out, but I could always hold 6oz. of yogurt/soup and only 3 - 4oz. of more dense Protein like chicken or fish.

I have experienced more constriction as time has progressed. At this point, I can only do a half a yogurt.

Yoghurt and Soup fall in the heavy liquid categories. While you've been on clear/s or thin liquids, you haven't actually reached the solid stage yet. Solids are things like unpureed vegetables or meats. Trust me, you will feel differently when it's a chunk of chicken.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
