Relationship problems or doubts?

Good here. My wife and I both committed to changing our habits and lifestyles for the better. Now we spend so much more time together doing quality things outdoors and our relationship is on a much better platform before.

Both. I have been married for 18.5 years...with my husband for 21 years total. Before we had children I was extremely thin...and he was very jealous. Once I got heavier he was no longer jealous. Now that I have lost the weight he is more jealous again. I kind of like it because he is doing more for me...like being more romantic, and helping a lot more around the house.

As for the really good part, he looks at me with those eyes again....the ones that tells me he is really attracted to me again. Our sex life has never been better, even then when we were teenagers. We also do a lot more activities together outdoors which I really missed.

This surgery can be really hard on couples....but I would do it again and again and again...because I know that we are in it for the long hall. Communication is key! Good luck!

Mines perfect but I can say others are not so lucky. My husband and I had many many many long talks about what I need and what he needs. We talked about other guys paying more attention to me and the jealousy aspect. You really have to be open and talk about the hard stuff and some stuff that may seem silly. I wish you the very best.

I agree! Mine is awesome but I think a lot of the reason is because we communicate all the time. I talk to him and include him in everything. I didn't think it was possible to love him more but since my surgery, they way he supports me 1000% and encourages me, well I am truly blessed and love him more than anything! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
