Do I officially lose my man card now? Lol! Feels great! The reason I am getting one (at this moment) is because my feet were all gross when I noticed them at Yoga a couple days ago. My feet were drying out from all the running I do. They were flaking on the heals. I know, gross! Had to use the big cheese grater on my feet. Lol.

Besides , I am here with my wife. Marriage bonding!! I do not think I would have done this pre op, but now I care how I look and I am no longer an anti social hermit. It is sort of strange in a way, but hey, post op is a great time to make changes in your life. Feet are now ready for another round of yoga vinayse.

Hey guys, time to go out and do new things you never would have done before. It is enlightening and makes you a more rounded person. Running 10 k one day, cross fit the next day, hot yoga the next day, hiking the next day, etc. Fun stuff being a post op!!!

Yoga and a pedi?

Hand it over.

J/K. You can be secure in your masculinity. My man loves both, but only when we aren't in our hometown.

I get manicures, but I don't let nobody touch my ogre feet. I went once time, and the little lady was complaining about how bad my feet were, haha. My wife and I usually do ours at the house, we have all the stuff and my wife loves doing her own feet instead of paying for someone to do them. I like it a lot, in fact, need to do it this weekend.

Getting a mani/pedi every four weeks is my indulgence for myself. Totally worth the money and my feet look awesome in sandals!!!

What is unmanly about having some nice lady rub on you? Hell, I almost feel hetero by the time I leave the nail place! LOL

Ok this is just wrong on so many levels; but mostly, Kirk, it isn't remotely " hetero" unless you are rubbin on her too!

This is great. Nothing is worse than scratchy rough feet in bed... Or anywhere!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
