shadesofteal 10 Posted April 2, 2013 So here is my question...and go easy on me, I'm new. . I am planning a June 3 VSG surgery. My 10 year old plays baseball and has a tournament the weekend of June 22 (ish). It is, historically, REALLY HOT during that time. If getting your fluids down at the rate the doctor wants you to is a real problem (as I have read multiple accounts and seen many vlogs indicating), how do I protect myself from dehydration? I don't mind missing practice, but I don't miss my guy's games! Thoughts?
Museum-Mama 196 Posted April 2, 2013 Think like Doree the fish...Just keep sipping! Just keep sipping! Or something like that. lol. There is no rule that says you have to chug. Just keep a constant, easy intake of Water. Also, stay in the shade so you don't get sun poisining. It's the WORST! Dehydration is only a small part of it, so please be careful! Take an umbrella if you have to. I am sooooo fair skinned that I just keep my parasol in my car so I don't fry during the summer.
