donatelife36 27 Posted April 1, 2013 I had my sleeve done on March 27 and have done really well , but I am still having quiet a bit of pain from the largest incision that I have. It actually doesn't seem to feel any better, if anything it hurts worse. Feels like it is pulling and pretty sore. Has anyone else had this issue? I don't know whether to call my doctor or if this is normal!!
cartmansnj 105 Posted April 1, 2013 The largest incision hurt for a while. It did not get worse but if I moved the wrong way it felt like I was being stabbed. Any redness or itching? I would call your doc regardless just to be safe.

Could it be the stitches on the inside pulling or desolving?
JolieBug 82 Posted April 1, 2013 I was sleeved on the 25th and had the exact thing two days ago. It's much better today and I'd forgotten about it until you said something. Don't stress unless they've changed from the normal incisions.

I am just on Clear liquids still but go to dr on Thursday so hopefully he will add something!!
cartmansnj 105 Posted April 1, 2013 It is just a deep incision that will take time to heal. The big one bothered me for about a month. From bad to just an annoyance until it went away. Good Luck!!
JolieBug 82 Posted April 1, 2013 I'm doing fantastic! Yesterday I was so hungry, so I ate until satisfied many times (only like a tablespoon fills me up right now), but lost another 2 pounds this morning! I feel mostly normal, really. I sleep well, eat when hungry, and pretty much do what I was told. I'm down 15.2 pounds this week. Full liquids started for me on day 3, and continue until next Saturday. I'm glad to be going back to work in the morning so I'll stay busy! Hope you do well!
CarrieP 50 Posted April 1, 2013 Mines killing me too. I was sleeved on the 25th I remember my dr saying that I where he pulled out the stomach so there's a couple stitches. Mine kinda burns inside when I move the wrong way. I got my appt on Thursday so if its still bothering me I'm gonna ask Sent from my iPhone using VST
zoogrl 12 Posted April 1, 2013 I was the 26th and mine has a drain. It's really awful and hard to hide. If I didn't have it I feel as though I would be in s different place activity wise. Riding in a car is so uncomfortable and so is any bending. On top of that its clogged and its draining through the wound mostly anyway...very messy. I get it out in 2 days yay! I've been inside since I got home and I can't wait to feel normal!! Be lucky you gave no drain!!
MOBD 16 Posted April 2, 2013 I have the same pain. When you turn the wrong way...bam, it's like you are being stabbed! I went to see my doc about it and it's normal she says. It takes some people longer than others to recover. I just can't wait til it goes away so that maybe I can start sleeping on my stomach again! She did recommend that I continue wearing the compression garment to provide support. It does help me...I had surgery 3/12 by the way

soocalchic 1,087 Posted April 2, 2013 Wear a binder or some sort of support so that it doesn't hurt when you move around I wore a support cami that worked perfectly
