MichiganChic 3,262 Posted April 1, 2013 Hi JennaG, welcome to the boards, and congratulations on your surgery. I'm also from southeastern Michigan, a litte further south than you. I was sleeved in December, and my life is just about back to normal....though where food is concerned, it's a new normal, and I'm lovng it! It took me a while to feel better, and I'm not one of those people who had tons of energy right off the bat. I'm finding a slow and gradual improvement in my energy levels, and so grateful for that! Hope you are feeling well and adjusting. Tell us your story.
JennaG0902 8 Posted April 1, 2013 That's good to hear because I am exhausted! Glad to know it's not forever lol. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember, my highest weight being 355. I yoyo'd between 355 &300 for the past 2 years and just finally had enough. I considered surgery a few years ago but decided that I could just continue doing it on my own. Around November 2012 I started having some pretty serious problems with endometriosis and PCOS (I have both) and decided now is the time. I am 3 weeks out today and down 29 pounds already. Ecstatic to say the least I'm ready to love the healthy active life I've been trying to live for far too long

sharonintx 1,275 Posted April 1, 2013 Hi Jenna and welcome. I was sleeved on March 8 and am feeling ok. I'm tired most of the time and truthfully I'm not enjoying this adjustment to my new way of eating. I know it's necessary and in my best interest so I try not to complain much. When the scale drops a pound or so I'm very happy so it's worth the hassle of adjusting. I'm down 21 pounds and looking forward to more!
JennaG0902 8 Posted April 1, 2013 Aww keep your head up and goal weight in mind We will get there and much sooner than we could have ever imagined before. I have a friend that's about 4years out and said that it took her a few months to get her energy back to a good normal level, which makes sense. Our bodies are probably in shock. Stay positive and reach out for help when you need it, I've learned quickly this site is full of amazing people that are ready and willing to help! Good luck!!
