minidriver 0 Posted September 11, 2008 Oh, and BTW, my foot hurts worse than it has in weeks after getting the alcohol injection. So much for it feeling 50% better after the first shot. Sigh..... Oh NO!!! Well, maybe it's a delayed effect. Do post new pics of your tat. I'd love to see it.
adorkbl 156 Posted September 11, 2008 Oh, one more thing. This sipping Water thing between meals: I can't get nearly the water I had before. I am not a sipper. Can we just drink water in between meals like a normal person if we aren't grazing? I eat 2-3 meals a day. Might have one snack: sugarfree Jello, sf pudding, sf popsicle..something like that. I prefer drinking water to eating that stuff, so as long as I have stopped drinking 30 minutes before a meal, can I DRINK water? Anyone wanna check in on this. I chug still. No issues with it here. I drink right up until I eat and then wait about 45min-1hr after. I am so furious with my parents right now. My sister has decided to re-enlist in the Marine Corp, and she is going to be deployed to Iraq in January. My parents are mad at her for this and are acting like 12 year olds about it. They are basically ganging up on her (for lack of a better word) and have decided they aren't talking to her. They texted her a text that said "Good luck and we'll talk to you when you get back". She immediately started crying. I called my mom after this text to basically ask her what the hell she is thinking treating her own daughter this way, and so of course she got all mad at me then, telling me that she wasn't going to argue about it with me, blah, blah, blah. I basically told her that my sister is 26 years old, can make her own decisions, and I hope for her sake nothing happens to her in Iraq because she will regret treating my sister like this for the rest of her life. I got hung up on for that one. This was after they told me my sisters husband (who they thought was the anti-Christ as little as a month ago) "deserved a medal for putting up with her". They are not winning any "Parents Of The Year" awards with me tonight!!!!:cool2: Seriously, to all you parents out there, HOW could they treat her this way??? I think they have lost their minds! And they are going to alienate me in the process also because I am going to support her decisions no matter what!! Wow... that is sucky. I would be upset as well. Thank your sister for me for her service. I am sure her decision was very difficult. Hubby is going to the Qwest bldg, in denver tomorrow. A whole bunch of Firefighters go and climb up and down the stairs twice in full turn-outs with their bottles on to rmember 9/11. He did it last year and is so excited to do it again this year. He says it is a great way to remember his falling brothers, lost on that day. Please take a minute tomorrow to remember all the heros we lost that day. Wow that is awesome. What a neat way to pay tribute.
Mal 0 Posted September 11, 2008 Mal~ Hey lady. How goes it??? How is your sons friend? I think of him often. Hi Brandy~How are you feeling today? Thanks for asking about our friend and keeping him in your thoughts. He is trying to gain weight, he has lost 30 pounds in a month, he was very thin to begin with, so my son was feeding him candy yesterday. I went to the library to look for the BFL book (they were all checked out), but I found a great book on Spinal Cord Injuries. I was up very late last night reading, very interesting...SCARY but interesting.

My heart goes out to you and your family. All I can think of is that your parents are scared and, they are expressing it with anger. I hope they come to their senses and mend things with you and your sister before she leaves. Your sister might be 26 years old but to your parents she will alwyas be a child that they feel they need to protect. Yes, they have lost their minds, hopefully temporarily. Maybe once it "settles" they will come around. I was raised military and then married into it, I appreciate your sister and all the soilder's.

jmegirl 2 Posted September 11, 2008 Someone PLEASE tell me how to multi quote???? I try to and my posts are all messed up, so until I learn how to do it, I hope I don't annoy ya'll with my pages of single replies... Click the MULTIQUOTE button on each reply that you want to quote. Once you've selected all the ones you want, click NEW REPLY in the bottom left and PRESTO! A reply box comes up with every quote that you selected. You just have to read each one to figure out where one starts and the other stops, but I'm pretty sure there's at least one line in between each quote, so it's easy to reply to each one. I hope that helps!!!
Mal 0 Posted September 11, 2008 I remember exactly where I was when the Challenge exploded. I will never forget the day the Wall came down! I cried! We lived in Germany when the wall came down, I cried too. I have a little piece of the Wall.
