:lol:Theresa and Deb-----

How did you guys do at the casino? Great, I hope :w00t:

I'm still jealous!!!!!

Deb---- it was great seeing you again. Casino mext time for sure!!!

Theresa---- Let me know if you want to go to Bingo

The casino was fun, of course. I couldn't win anything all day though. Spending the day with Deb was even better.

Don't know about bingo...I'll have to let you know when you want to go. I'm too busy right now to even think about it.

I have mysteriously lost 3 pounds in the last week. This even though I did touch the halloween candy. It makes no sense, but I will take it. Good luck on the challenge. This has got to be the hardest part of the year to do it.

My surgery is this Friday and I am working on my freakout. I have to do that a couple days ahead of time. I cannot wait until this is over with. I am hoping after surgery I get off the hormones and am able to exercise again, I will actually lose a bit more weight. I have a slight success in that I've moved down one pant size.

Julie, I am going to say 10 for the Xmas Challenge.

This last fill is totally doing its job. I lost 3 lbs since our pizza night last Monday! Having to really watch what I eat - major slime incidents with Pasta and crackers so far. :smile2:

Hi Deb,

I'm sorry I missed you too. I could use a dose of your goofiness! :-)

I live about 90 minutes from that part of Denver and it would have been past my bedtime if I'd met up with you so late. I'm hoping for next time.

I think maybe it is time for a bit of a fill. I haven't lost more than three pounds in the last several weeks. I can eat pretty much anything, as long as I take small bites and eat slowly. But I am getting hungry sooner than I used to, and am definitely eating larger portions...What do you think? How do you know when you are ready to get "topped-off"?

Mary

Amino acids are what Proteins are made of, so I can't see a problem with the band. The pills can't be that huge and this therapy is used by various folks for bariatric patients.

I ate a large portion of ice cream tonight trying out my new ice cream scoop from Wilton. It's great. I am a bit stressed out right now. That and I can't have milk at all tomorrow. Which I still don't understand.

OK, weighed in for the challenge. I lost two pounds this past week, so not sure I'll lose any during this first week. We'll see. Good luck everyone!

Confused...I thought today was the baseline weight for the challenge. Works for me that we're deducting though.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
