Put me down for a big 0 this week. at least I didn't gain. Some days I can eat fine, and others I get nowhere near the amounts of Protein and calories that I need. The stress is really hard right now.

GREAT Cheryl. I'll be there at Dr. K's office for my 2:15 appt. What time is your appt?

I can try the Comfort Suites in Engelwood. I am all about prices right now.

Glad you got home safely. That was one week storm, ya know?

YES, I thought the surgery was relatively painless in comparison to a few other surgeries I have had which were off the chain pain, whereas the band was mostly isolated to my surgical site. I understand what you mean by comparing it to your other surgery.

Anyone else around the states suffering from this sickness with symptoms of everything from nausea to nose? My school clinic looks like a checkout line at Christmas this past week especially.

Everyone at work is seriously in need of Spring Break. You can imagine how our state exploads with tourists over the next month. Traffic is getting progressively more congested and driving home in the afternoon is adding ten minutes to my afternoon drive due to the breakers.

Cherly I would love to meet up. Let's plan on it.

Tell me your appt. time. I know you want to tour a little around. So do I.

Possible places to dine. I'm thinking American mix, good Soups. I found these places:

Mesquite House East 9668 East Arapahoe Road

Black Eyed Pea Restaurant8505 East Arapahoe Road

Rockbottom Brewery & Restaurant*several locations

Rockbottom looks fun. Check out the menu:tt2:

Food Menu - Steak, Seafood, pastas, Sandwiches and More - Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery

>>YUM

Chicken Waldorf Saladua_rbr_food_bug_fav.gifua_rbr_food_bug_new.gif

Oven–roasted chicken, sundried cranberries, fresh arugula

Okay who wants to ROCK with me at Rockbottom?

COOL!

My fill is at 4:00PM on the 7th, my flight gets in at 12:20PM that day and I leave at 9:00AM the next morning. For this trip I'll be staying at the Red Lion (I reccomend the Comfort Inn for long stays like when you have the original surgery) because they have a free airport shuttle, still decidng, I might rent a car anyway. This will be my first fill so where we eat isn't important, guess I'll be on mostly liquids for a day or two. Is that how it goes, I never thought to ask about eating before or after a fill. Also, can anyone tell me how to get the photo I uploaded to show whith my enrties, I only see it on my info page. Well I hope we can get a little group together for dinner that night, I'd love to meet you all and compare notes. We should give ourselves a name like "Dr.K's Kuties"!

MINI - Down is better than up in our world.

JAIME - I remember when weigh gains were 4 + lbs.

MARIE - I hear ya! Stress-o-meter is draining batteries at twice the rate for me. Just hoping that like all things, with time it changes.

DEB - Don't sweat it. Could be Water weight. Watch the sodium intake.

Kayleighsmom - You're moving in the right direction!!

...........................................................

Sometimes I think we focus so much on TIME. Everyone should watch the movie 'CLICK'. Really has another message going on there.

Cheryl our schedules sound similar. Let's meet at 7 PM at Rockbottom Brewery on the 7th.

That's 4/7/09 at 7:00 at Rockbottom Brewery.

DEE - Hugs to you.

Has anyone had any trouble on their flights home after surgery? My flight is around 5PM the following day. Also, was it difficult walking through a large airport right after surgery? I'll be flying into Atlanta, mega-huge airport. Thanks!

They do suggest that you wait an extra day before flying. I don't think I could have flown the next day, but I also had a hiatal hernia fixed and the pain was bad. A kind friend from this site arranged for a wheel chair to pick me up when I landed. Thank goodness. Call the airport and ask them.

I left the day after my surgery also but wished I'd taken an extra day, honestly. My flight was earlier than yours, though, so that may help. You will probably be walking slow so allow plenty of time to get from place to place. I live in Atlanta so any other airport seems tiny to me in comparison to Hartsfield-Jackson.

I did have some nausea on the flight home which was really unpleasant, but I popped one of those pills under my tongue and it went away instantly. I also ended up going a little longer between doses of pain meds which made for a really cranky me by the time we landed. But I made it, and so will you!

I'm going to try to skim back a bit and catch up with you ladies. I miss you guys! Hope all are doing well.

I've really gotten into the habit of having a Grande Skinny Caramel Latte every morning. 120cals, so it's really not that bad, but typically the espresso keeps me going and I end up not eating until lunch. Then I usually have a small afternoon snack, and then dinner. Well, I think the reason my weightloss has slowed (and stopped) the last few weeks is because I've had a latte nearly every single morning, even on the weekends! As a result, I'm not eating Breakfast. Sure I'm having the steamed milk in my latte, but that's not actual food, and this might be why my weightloss is stopping. Because I'm going too long between meals - with dinner around 7pm and then lunch not until almost 12pm the following day.

Think this could be part of my problem, or am I just grasping at straws here?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
