Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

I mean, at my age should I be getting breast implants? Wouldn't that be kind of silly? On the other hand, if I'm going to have surgery, maybe I should go ahead and have good looking boobs too. I don't know.

Either way, it was kind of exciting and fun.

yayyy for you. my 2 cents???

Go for the boobs  :cool2:  :tt2:

julie

Thanks Julie. I tried some on and I kind of liked how they looked. They were pretty small, but they looked kind of good!

I'm coming to Colorado! I'll be out there April 7th, Tuesday, will stay a couple days and probably fly out on Thursday. I can tell I am starting to need a fill. My inbetween meals is getting closer now. Use to be four or five hours I could hold and maybe feel a tiny bit of hunger but now I am at three hours and feeling hunger.

*Isn't it great to know what it's like to FEEL hunger?* :tongue2:

Can we do a meet up on that Tuesday or Wednesday evening? I would love to meet some of you that can make it. :)

We could have a great time!!

Let me know.

Hello all!

Had my surgery yesterday! I am feeling remakably well, sore belly, mostly when I stand up or lay down. I thought I'd have much more pain like when I had my gallbladder out. Finally got to meet Dr.K and his staff, just as sweet as I thought he;d be, If my husband had any doubts he felt much better after meeting him. The hospital staff was fabulous, never had that kind attention before surgery.

We had a terrible time getting here, first the Atlanta airport was closed so they rerouted us through NY which was closed after waiting around 5 hours. Had to spend the night in Raleigh, then missed 2 other flights because Raleigh had snow that morning, Finally got into Denver half an hour after my appoint with Dr. K. So much for a little relaxing sightseeing!

We're staying at the Comfort suites in Engelwood. Great room with a min kitchen and a large sitting room with sofa and dining table. I would highly recommend it to anyone from out of town,

Well, I am so excited about the next year, thank you all SO MUCH for your encouragement and great advise!Lap-Dancer, I'll be back for my first fill on April 7 th, I'd love to meet you gals, keep me informed!

Hi Everyone...

I haven't been on in ages! Sounds like everyone is doing well...I am still about 10-12 from goal and am getting a little sick of the scale not moving. Still hitting the gym 3-5 days a week and am happy to see definition.

Went to a reunion for HS an everyone said I looked better now than in HS, also got hit on a few times. Would be fun if I were single...

Hope everyone continues to do so well!

GREAT Cheryl. I'll be there at Dr. K's office for my 2:15 appt. What time is your appt?

I can try the Comfort Suites in Engelwood. I am all about prices right now.

Glad you got home safely. That was one week storm, ya know?

YES, I thought the surgery was relatively painless in comparison to a few other surgeries I have had which were off the chain pain, whereas the band was mostly isolated to my surgical site. I understand what you mean by comparing it to your other surgery.

Anyone else around the states suffering from this sickness with symptoms of everything from nausea to nose? My school clinic looks like a checkout line at Christmas this past week especially.

Everyone at work is seriously in need of Spring Break. You can imagine how our state exploads with tourists over the next month. Traffic is getting progressively more congested and driving home in the afternoon is adding ten minutes to my afternoon drive due to the breakers.

Cherly I would love to meet up. Let's plan on it.

Tell me your appt. time. I know you want to tour a little around. So do I.

Possible places to dine. I'm thinking American mix, good Soups. I found these places:

Mesquite House East 9668 East Arapahoe Road

Black Eyed Pea Restaurant8505 East Arapahoe Road

Rockbottom Brewery & Restaurant*several locations

Rockbottom looks fun. Check out the menu:tt2:

Food Menu - Steak, Seafood, pastas, Sandwiches and More - Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery

>>YUM

Chicken Waldorf Saladua_rbr_food_bug_fav.gifua_rbr_food_bug_new.gif

Oven–roasted chicken, sundried cranberries, fresh arugula

Okay who wants to ROCK with me at Rockbottom?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
