maestrita 43 Posted February 25, 2009 I financed my surgery through a credit line. I am having to work more to pay for my surgery. I will be working weekends and vacation time until I pay it off. I only have to earn 80.00 extra dollars a month to make the payment, but I am trying to double pay it to beat the interest. Since I am a teacher, there is no paid overtime through my job, and I need to work for another company to earn the money. It is hard because people don't want to hire someone who can only work weekends or vacation time. I am lucky that my husband's company needs help, and it's something I can do. GreenChrysalis 1 Posted February 25, 2009 (edited) I haven't posted here in ages so I thought I would drop a line and say hello if anybody remembers me. As you can see I am down over 100 pounds, just over a year after my surgery. Now in a size 16. I am so happy! This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself. I'm sorry I dropped off here, but I just couldn't keep up with you busy ladies! I hope all are well. I will try to check in on occasion. Take care. I do update my blog pretty regularly (in my sig) so please stop by if you like. To the person who asked about financing -- I did it with a credit card. Not my preference but it was my only option. Slowly paying it off. Luckily the interest rate is fixed and decent. Quick question also: is Natalie still in Dr. K's office? I emailed her recently and haven't heard back. Thanks. I have now gained 7 lbs. in 3 days:cursing: Question is can steroids have an impact on Water retention or some other aspect of body that would account for such a gain? Deb, Steriods CAN cause big time water retention and swelling. It can also cause an increase in blood sugars.

deboregon 0 Posted February 26, 2009 Dee, thanks for the affirmation of what I thought. Jeez, I couldn't believe it! If I am going to gain 7 lbs. in three days, I want to have eaten those kind of foods in the required quantities!! Well, I was down 4 this morning, but that's still 3 more before Sat. to be even. Sheesh... Did my first Water aerobics yesterday. How much fun is that? I didn't know you could be in cool water in a cold building and still sweat! I couldn't imagine moving for an hour solid on dry land, but it was easy in the water. Tomorrow morning is session #2!!
minidriver 0 Posted February 27, 2009 Hello lapband buddies. I haven't had time to read through all the posts yet cuz I'm just freshly off the plane from mexico. I had a great time but I'm sure I brought back a few pounds with me. Lots of umbrella drinks, chips and salsa and guacamole, etc. Even a bit of ice cream every night. What the heck, it was vacation, yes? Hope everyone is doing well. Missed you guys. Hey, just a reminder that I'll be kicking around Denver the night of April 1st and would love to have a get together!!
