MsVictorious1020 497 Posted April 1, 2013 On day 4 of the preop diet and I am no longer hungry but I keep bursting into tears at the drop of a hat. I'm so emotional and sensitive. I feel like an idiot. Did anyone else go through this?! 1 beba238 reacted to this
Houston17 115 Posted April 1, 2013 Day 5 for me and I did briefly break down today. My husband said something to me and I took it the wrong way. In hindsight, it was stupid and I normally would not have reacted like that. I am going thru periods of the day where I feel hungry. This liquid diet is tough! 9 more days to go! southernsoul 773 Posted April 1, 2013 Awww...honey, I'm sorry. It's probably just the solid food withdrawal. It will get better!
VSGKirk 855 Posted April 1, 2013 I was a hot mess the night before surgery - I think it's part of the process - just chuckle a little to yourself when you catch yourself acting like a character from a Telenovella! 1 beba238 reacted to this
MsVictorious1020 497 Posted April 1, 2013 Thank you all. @kirk you slay me. That's exactly how I feel today. Like a telenovela.
sillygirlee 3 Posted April 1, 2013 I cried every day for a week leading up to and after surgery! I was a mess! It was all the build up I had inside of me and it was finally happening. Plus, after surgery, you do not feel good for 2-3 days and u can't turn to food and I cried. Now, I'm 4 weeks post op and I'm fine. ???? Hang in there! dma2013 99 Posted April 1, 2013 I have considering the surgery for quite some time. i was initially denied by my insurance company, then got approved the other day. I was told that my surgery would be in 12 days! I was excited that it was finally happening but it was really quick! It has been an emotional roller coaster but I keep thinking about the outcome and I smile again. Keep your chin up
misslady 130 Posted April 1, 2013 I think the emotional roller coaster happens in pre and post op. I'm due to have surgery 05/20 and I have had a few cryung spells.
beba238 123 Posted April 1, 2013 My sister told me she was on her way to her bf's house last night and i burst out crying like if she had just given me terrible news. I felt so guilty cuz she stayed. I even sent my bf a nasty text. I guess i'm just looking for a little attn maybe? I cried the morning of my surgery when 2 co-workers called to say a quick prayer. Then i started tearing when a nurse came in to get my vital signs and then started secretly crying when i was walking away from my family. This is an emotional battle for everyone and i feel like it is normal. Our body is going through a major change. Don't worry it happens to the best of us!!! MsVictorious1020 497 Posted April 1, 2013 Thank you so much to everyone. I am feeling a lot better now. My friend came over and was a very calming listening ear. I think my body is getting detoxed and my hormones are raging. I dunno.
