So I have been fighting the same 3 pounds for 4 weeks now. But I have lost 2 inches in my waist, 1 in bust and 1 on hips in 10 days. Anyone else experience this? Im working out but i would think the scale would move a little!

Pre op 263

Sw 257

Cw 226

Dos 1/7/13

Inches lost is a good thing. scales can be your enemy. Surgeons office told me once you start building muscle you may lose slower just change the routine up and that muscle will weigh more. As long as you are losing inches you are losing fat that is always a good thing

Your body will drop some weight all at one time, I weight about every 3 weeks, as long as my clothes continue to get big all is on track. Keep up the good work

Oh yea, I just looked at your stats, 10 lbs plus a month, you are rockin. I loose 10 lbs a month, here I am 8 mo post op & 15 lbs preop weight loss & I have lost 101. I believe for 10 lbs each month & it happens. (I lost 16 the 1st mo. Post op.) How much r u able to eat per meal?

By 4/7 you will drop more weight.

Well this past month has not been 10lbs. Same 3 pounds up and down for weeks. I can eat avg 2-4 oz of meat at a meal with some veg. Depends on meat. I can eat often though. I log all my food in MFP and my fat intake is too high, going to cut back. Its hard when all i eat is meat and cheese! Lol.

Good idea, I did not go the cheese route, problem food for me. You still have 7 days left this month, go for some Protein Shakes, kick up the exersise & keep on going. They say it gets harder to lose after a year, some say 8 months, we can do it together

I am in your boat! Our stats are similar!

Pre-op:260

SW:244

Current weight:219

Surgery date 1/10/13.

3 months out.

I was losing steadily and when I finally get in this groove of more workouts and a higher pace, nothing!! I can't break past 219. The scale goes between 219-222. Gimme a break!! But I send feel smaller and more fit. I just hope in a month I see a big difference.

Today I are at Baja Fresh and ordered the skinny wahoo fish bowl (no rice sub more Beans though next time I think I will sun more veggies). It is 3 pieces of grilled mahi 2oz each and a bowl w cabbage, black Beans and this really good mango salsa. It's so good. With out the rice it came to 459 calories and it lasted me three meals (lunch, snack and dinner). It's gonna be my new go-to if I have to eat out. Hope my body recognizes the effort I'm making!!

Please keep me posted on your weight loss!!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one in this boat. I was sleeved the day after you (1/8) and the past few weeks have just been impossible to get weight off. I started at 262 and I'm stuck between 206-210 and I just can't break it. I even started 50 minutes of cardio daily and NOTHING! Please let me know if you girls find anything to break this stall and congrats on the weight loss thus far!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
