jennybittyboo 23 Posted March 31, 2013 My sister was sleeved 2 days ago. Overall she is doing well. However, she has a slight temp of 99.8. Should I be concerned that she may have a leak? Is 99.8 even considered a fever?
Mastiff_mama 171 Posted April 1, 2013 I ran a fever for 4 days some as high as 103°, the hospital told me to call if it got over 101°. Pretty normal
donewithdieting 44 Posted April 1, 2013 Fever for our hospital/ER 101. and that would be 2 hours after tylenol. Just keep and eye on it and stay hydrated. Good Luck Linda
Mastiff_mama 171 Posted April 1, 2013 By the way, when I called the surgeon called me back and said ibsounds good and asked how I felt. I felt fine other than the fever and he told me to take tylenol and call back in the am innit didn't go down... It did and stayed down.
DrmBig4Evr 152 Posted April 1, 2013 From what I understand it could be from dehydration and not walking enough. Try both and see if it goes down. A fellow sleever had it too and it went away. He had his surgery the day before me.

capeciw 18 Posted April 1, 2013 I had one and they told me it was common with bariatric patients if they had any little bit of Fluid in lungs. I had to kick up the use of my spirometer. Good luck to her and what a great sis for seeking support/answers. 1 Mastiff_mama reacted to this

jennybittyboo 23 Posted April 1, 2013 Thanks everyone! She has been walking, the nurses told her she definitely won the walking race at the hospital. I told her everyone's recommendations. I am just a worry wart older sister. I hope to have my surgery the 2nd week of June. 2 Keepgoing247 and Mastiff_mama reacted to this
