It is true that cats are unreliable in eating stuff dropped on the floor. Mine are so choosy that I have to practically serve them on a silver plate. My cat did eat some of my asparagus this evening, but the dog just gobbled it down. He doesn't care what it tastes like. My dogs always run free at parties. They clean the place up so I don't have to the next morning. Let's hear it for dogs.

It's true that cats are no good when it comes to cleaning up one's home of dropped nosh. They are actually messy eaters. Mine leave a litter of half eaten cat Cookies around their feeding station and one of 'em likes to hook the wet stuff out of his food bowl and hurl it on the floor with his paw before he will consider eating it. The other licks the gravy off the gooey food and later may or may not eat the rest.

And of course you gotta feed 'em before you get around to making the morning coffee....which you yourself need so bad! Still, that is The Way of The Cat.

It's true that cats are difficult. Mine eat dry food from a feeder, but they gather around me like vultures when I eat. I have to feed them little tidbits or they will actually climb into my plate and snag something. They do like asparagus though. Odd,no?

Cats are from Outer Space, who else would have the nerve to turn down good food! The only cats I found at parties wear spiked heals, and they arent purring either!

Oh, I know about those kitties. They are the ones with the sharp claws. I've worked with them from time to time....:)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
