Has anyone taken "HYDROXYCUT" after VSG surgery?

Recommended Posts

I was wanting to know if anyone has taken Hydroxycut after having VSG Surgery ? One would think that ater surgery there would be no need for a dietpill. However I can not seem to lose the last 10 lbs!!! No matter how much Water or exercise I still can't seem to make the scale move or measure smaller with the tape measure. Thanks for you input !!

You want to take diet pills to lose 10 lbs? Do you plan on staying on them for life? How many people do you know that have taken diet pills, and kept the weight off for good? I think what it all boils down to is, lifestyle changes and choices. If diet pills were a successful option half us us wouldn't be member of this site. Hard work is never easy. You have the sleeve use that tool, you are proof positive that it works.

I took them a long time ago before surgery - all they did was make me feel sick and make my heart race. Don't do it! Your body may have found a set point where it is happy... Have you tried working with weights? May not help the scale number, but would help with the measurements. :)

I don't think this is a good idea. I drank it years ago and felt like i was going to pass out the way my heart was pumping. Yes i lost a few lbs but as soon as i stopped i gained it all back and more in very little time. It doesn't work. I suggest you speak to the NUT or your doctor.

All those thermogenics do is turn up the heat in your body, and increase your heart rate. They're absolutely not a healthy alternative to buckling down, cleaning up your diet and getting to work is what it's going to take.

I personally wouldn't take diet pills... Maybe you are where you are supposed to be on your weight loss journey. I've been reading that sometimes the body stops at its own ideal weight. So maybe that could be where you are!

Good luck :-)

I think everyone should be free to use whatever aids they feel will help them in achieving their goals. No need to condone anyone if they decide to use hydroxycut or some other diet pill. A warning might be OK if you feel such a diet pill is dangerous or detrimental, but no parenting please. We are all adults and live in a free society ( for now). This means we can do what we please if it is not illegal, dangerous or harming someone else.

Haven't used it but i use other site

aids. I think it's worth a shot to try it and see if it helps those last few pounds. If you get it from GNC and save the receipt you can take it back if you find you have any unwanted side effects. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
