socks4 0 Posted March 31, 2013 I'm 51 years old and 3 weeks out from surgery. I hadn't had a period in almost a year and suddenly it reared its ugly head 3 days ago. Has anyone else experienced this? How many months did this continue?

Chelenka 827 Posted April 2, 2013 I would call your Dr. both your surgeon and GYN. Menopause can be funny like that though but get medical attention just to be safe. Don't miss my period at all! Sent from my iPhone using VST
Sherri297 81 Posted April 19, 2013 The exact same thing happened to me. My surgery was Oct. 2012, then had another 3 months later. No more since then. I just attributed it to hormones. Did you check in with your GYN? I haven't, just wondering.
@RealScoobyDoo 94 Posted April 19, 2013 I'm 50 and April 16 was going to be my official "im menopausal" day. (A year without periods). And damn, if I didn't get it a week before my surgery March 20. Thus the countdown begins again. Sigh. Dropping excess weight can mess with your cycles. It's not anything to worry about unless you've been a year without a cycle and then have bleeding. deltadawn817 106 Posted April 19, 2013 I have a IUD Mirena and PCOS and was not getting a period at all. I am a year out of surgery and had my first one right after surgery and then two more in the past year so a total of 3 periods since surgery.
