Red incision a month and a week (Monday) out?

Recommended Posts

Hi all! So I've had no issues w the incisions - no drains etc-- was sleeved feb 25th - been using Neosporin - tonight I noticed the right lower largest one is red!! It is also warmer than the others- I'm not sure what to do as I can't reach the dr-- I've also been a bit queazy today- never really am! I've looked online and can't find much... Is this a sign of an internal leak?? I don't know what to do I wash it daily and use the ointment 2 or 1 times a day- dr said that was fine- help??

I am 2 1/2 months and mine are still a red color, but they are all healed. Nothing more you can do besides the neo, and keep it dry, don't put bandages on it. If it starts to look worse you can go to your PCP and they will prescribe antibiotics. That's from my Dr. Course once again each Dr is diff.

Thank you they've always been lightly pink/nude so it's def red compared to how it has been which is why it had me worried

Incision redness is not a sign of a leak, so take that worry away. At this far out it is most likely a stitch desolving. If its hot go see your doc.
