I've been reading through the help topics (which werent really helpful at all) about editing your profile. It says there is a UserCP, and I am assuming that is where I click on My Settings when I hover over my pic at the top of the page. I do use those side tabs to enter information, but notice that a lot of the info I have entered, doesn't show up!

For example, my surgery information says that I have not entered anything yet, but it shows my dates, weight, surgeon, etc.... It also says I can change the color of my profile page. WHAAAA??? I certainly didn't see that option! I have also noticed that some have changed that little title above their profile picture from the standard "Member" or "Sleeve Guru" and such... to "Fitness Junkie" or "Mom, Wife, and Star Wars Geek". How did they do that?!?!

I love this site and the forums, but it seems the design/layout isn't very Fluid. Just my two cents. About seven years ago, I used a site for having a healthy pregnancy. It had a GREAT layout and look. I would recommend it, but I looked at it a few days ago and its over run with ads and looks junky. Oh well.

Anyway, More info on how to FULLY set up a profile would be great. THANKS!

The title above the picture changes automatically - the more posts you make, the 'higher' your rating. :)

Oh, I just read your post more carefully - that is interesting... I think I'd rather pick my own than be "VST Addict"...

I use my phone, so I don't see any of that stuff.

I do know that there is a star rating system, where other users can rate you. I know this because there is a user who goes and gives 1 star to anyone who says anything she doesn't like and the group of people she doesn't like. So you could say I learned that the hard way. Ha ha.

Once you get to a certain amount of posts you can change your title ( like sleeve master to just plain master) I should know I have a big mouth!

And girls don't get me started on the profile stars!! It's like a sport to a couple of people here to knock down my stars! :P

But seriously Alex the star thing is kinda petty..

I mean we already have the "likes" or "report"

For things said. But rating the person as a person??

And no I'm not bitter when my stars get knocked down nice people come right along and put them right back up to 5...

Seriously?! People are that petty over stinking stars when we are here to encourage each other to succeed? Holy cow.

Yeah...and the crazy thing is...the last time I knew that it happened to Laura, she hasn't even participated in the conversation. A user got mad at me and another poster and then knocked her stars down (along with lessofmeismore). Petty is a good word for it. Not my favorite part of this board.

I agree it is a pain.

I was trying to put in "before and after" photos and remembered why I never did it before - I am tired of hunting around trying to figure it out!

Thats not good! Seems to me it should be easy. Members want to see each other's success. Now i know why i havent seen any on profile pages. :/

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
