do you still use a cpap ?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering what experience those who used a cpap pre-sleeve have had post operatively in respect to cpap use. Do you still need it or were you able to sleep well without it? I use a cpap now, am waiting on ins approval.

It's more uncomfortable for me now. I've been thinking about lowering the pressure settings, but haven't messed with it so far.

I still use my CPAP. Although when we went to Puerto Rico at the beginning of March, I didn't use it. I didn't bring the humidifier to save space in the suitcase and my nose got way too dried out. The hubs said I didn't snore at all. I tried to not use this when we got home and he said I was snoring. Rats. (PR was really nice because the room had two beds... so no CPAP AND a really comfortable bed all to myself.) ;)

I need to have my PCP either order a new sleep study for me OR have the sleep center let use an auto-cpap that records the pressure for them to see if my pressure requirement has changed (or is non-existant). HOWEVER.. that being said, I do still LOVE using the CPAP. It's been such a good friend....but maybe it's time to say goodbye. :)

I'm 7 months out and my pulmonologist ordered an auto Cpap for me for a week to test my pressures. I'm going from a 14 to 6. I havent been able to use my current Cpap until the pressures are reset and my husband says I'm not snoring at all. I really feel like I could go without it if I needed to. Pulmonologist said I probably won't need it at all by my one year anniversary. Great feeling.

I have never used an auto cpap myself. I think it's great you've lowered your pressures and know you're pushing to get off it it all together. I don't mind my cpap as I feel better with it than without it but I'd love not to have the marks on my face or the occasional rollover that kinks the hose and about torques my nose off my face.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
