Morning! You make some really good points and I think i Really needed to hear them. I was becoming obsessed with weighing myself morning and night and I originally wanted to only weigh myself once a month because I felt thatif I just focused on the lifestyle the weight would naturally happen versus the scale and the number defining how I feel. So I have not weighed myself this week and am going to try to go another week taking a break from the dear scale. It has been a relief all week almost! I have other tools I use to track how I am doing like the my fitness pal and I can tell usually with just how I feel and how things fit if I am making progress.

As far as the lifestyle change... You are right and I don't think I recognize that enough. I choose a smaller plate and I am pretty used to the portion I can eat now, so the eyes and stomach are pretty much on the same level most of the time at least. At my 3 month nutrition appointment I was told I could and should add more the fruits and veggies now. This has helped a lot this week for me. I was sooo focused on Protein, now I feel I am getting a bit more balance and the things I choose to eat are most of the timebvery different from before! I hope it's all clicking, it feels that way.

The exercise is huge a huge change, I really make that a priority. The other day I was planning to go do cardio after work and I ended up working late and I needed to skip and go home to get twins. Pre sleeve I would have just skipped entirely, instead I did the girls bedtime routine put them in the stroller in pjs with a bottle and I went jogging!! It even was misting and I did not let it stop me, that is a new me....

I think a little fear is good keeps me focused remembering where I was but thank you for reminding me to Celebrate the success and be proud of the changes I have made.

Thanks so much as always!

What size are you in these days at 143?

Good for you! Glad to hear you've been so dedicated to exercising. I won't lie...I still weigh myself often. I don't freak out over it, but I do probably hop on the scale every morning just as part of my routine. It keeps me on track and motivated. That's just what works for me :)

The clothes I've bought have been 5/6 pants and small or medium top depending on the style :)

Jordyn you were beautiful before but at the wedding you were absolutely stunning! You are such an inspiration to me, I hope I can be that to someone else one day. I am having a tough week (in my first stall) and seeing you tells me I can do this. Other's have done it, what the heck is stopping me?? I just have to keep with the program! Thanks for posting and for being an inspiration to me :)

Thanks for the nice compliment. I can't believe all the support this forum has brought me. it means so much to me that some of you see me as an inspiration....I share my stories in hopes of motivating people who are going through the same things I went through. HANG IN THERE!! Remember why you had the surgery in the first place. Find a person who will support you through this process. You can do it :)

Suffer the pain of discipline or suffer the pain of regret....wow. You hit it there. I'm 2 1/2 years out...just had a Tummy Tuck but I'm going to use that saying to continue to motivate me everyday. Thank u

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
