I was wondering if it was an issue of not drinking enough

It can be, think about it... my dr told me that when you a are consuming enough fluids it effect that part of your body also. So there you have it. DRINK

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for posting this topic! I didn't know how I was going to bring this subject up. But it all makes sense now. I can't believe I couldn't figure that one out myself. I'm always saying "I have to drink more fluids"! At least I know it's something that I can take care of easily. Thanks again ladies!

I have answer for you because I went to a gyn.

Back when I was obese, even post menopause I had lots of moisture down there. That is because all that fat generates estrogen - which is probably why obese women have higher breast cancer rates.

Once I got close to my goal weight, it became dry and no amount of drinking Water helped....

The only solution is to use lubricant, or to root cause fix it is to take hormone suppositories. My problem became bad enough i noticed it when riding bike, horseback riding etc... just more delicate when it gets dried out.

If you are having this problem and are not menopausal, I wonder if you are moving toward perimenoupausal (ie pre menopause). If that isn't the case, well, then I don't know the answer, but bottom line is...

fat girls make more wet then skinny girls.

Cowgirljane has it exactly right! Lube is a small price to pay for being confident enough to get it on without being self conscious!

There are creams but I would start with your Obgyn and encourage your partner to just spend a little more time with four play! HAha

On theDr.s show the GYN that is on there said to use organic coconut oil. She said it doesn't break down like regular lubes do.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
