So I found a Liquid Protein called prostat! It's great ok I mean it's not wonderfully delicious but for liquid Protein it's pretty decent. Two table spoons is 15 grams! For those moments when your struggling to get it in! Hope everyone has an amazing day

Becareful with the liquid Proteins as I heard they are made from different types of proteins that aren't really absorbed by the body. I believe the moderator on here said that so I'm staying away from them. whey isolate is the best kind to get and I'm not sure it's made in liquid form.

I just bought the whey isolate 20 minutes ago. Can't wait to try it.

I just read in another thread there is some of the "good" kind of Protein shots on Bariatric Advantage website so I looked it up! This is what it says:

Yes Whey

From the makers of the first Protein shot, Yes Whey™ is the first and only to use 100% pure whey protein -- and nothing but whey protein.

Yes Whey was designed to help consumers feel at ease about the quality of protein they consume. While other companies boldly use the word 'whey' in their brands, Yes Whey is the first ready-to-drink protein shot made exclusively from whey protein. This guarantees that the protein going into your body has a PDCAAS* of 100, the highest quality rating a protein can receive. [READ MORE]

When I had the lap band and could not get anything down (long story) for a long time I used a liquid Protein called provide liquid gold. It comes in sugar free and regular and 1 tablespoon had 15 grams of protein. I knew about it because I am a nurse and it is a medical protein used when patients protein and albumin are low. I can't remember what type of protein it was (whey, soy, etc) but I was at the protein that any protein was better then none. The regular was the consistency and taste of the gel candy kids get and the sugar free was a little bitter but not horrific.

I hope I don't get blasted here but what is the deal with pork skins? I looked at a label today and 1 ounce was 17 grams of protein, 0 carbs, and 9 grams of unsaturated fat. I really don't know if they are okay or not. What do any of you know or think about them? I'm really on the fence and seems that the crunchy would satisfy a craving.

I also see microwaveable Pork rinds that aren't fried and have 23 grams of Protein, 4 grams of fat, 0 carbs for 1 ounce. That is a lot of protein in an ounce of food.< /p>

Prostat is good but it have carbohydrates. Try Proteinex it is probably better because there is no carbohydrates, nor fat.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
