3months and the scale isnt budging!

Recommended Posts

It's been months and I finally feel I have good restriction, I haven't been snacking, I have my workout routines and have been eating my healthy home made meals and I can't get lower than 220-217. The number just stays in between these three numbers. How can I get it to go down?!!! Today I start a new workout class, kettle bell kickboxing which should shake my body up but what can I do about the food to get this weight off??:0/

How many calories do you think you are taking in? I have seen on other posts where people have suggested upping your calories, slightly, to accommodate for the exercise. If you are taking in 600-800 and burning 400 or more working out your body may be freaking out. Maybe try bumping your calories slightly, make sure you are getting in a post exercise shake? Keep up on your Water and don't give up.

My NUT said to up your calories by 100 per week for 2 weeks if there's no change up them by another 100.

I believe you both but it's scary. Haha. Ok I will try it with healthy Proteins. My Water intake has been great! I am a Lapband to sleeve revision and my first two months I barely felt restriction. This month I finally feel what everyone is talking about and yet the losing has slowed down. Ill try eating more Snacks. Thanks.

I stalled for the entire 5th month. It was irritating, but it eventually broke. I've read a few posts where people who are around a year or more out have had a few extended stalls.

Don't worry about it. Just keep doing what you are doing. Your body is probably still trying to figure out what is going on.

I agree with the above. I have found that my weight has several weights that it loves. These weights are usually weights that I maintained for some period of time . When I loose weight and get to these weights it is as if my body says ok we're there lets stay there. The weight will always come off if I just continue even though it is very frustrating. Keep exercising eat and drink the right amount and I will guarantee the weight will come of.

Yes i was told to increase my intake,so i set my timer every two hours to eat even when i'm not hungry, and also you could be losing inches and it will not show on the scale, i notice when i was walking on the treadmill every day my scale would not move,so i stop the exercising for a while and my scale started moving i know strange, but it's working i wil start back again, but for now it's working i probally burning up what i did not have to burn so it stall my weight loss.but keep doing what you doing it will start moving again don't get discourage,,and stay away from that scale for a while :)..

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
