Oh my Holy Lord Jesus, dumping DOES happen!

Recommended Posts

At the risk of being totally beaten with a wet noodle by my fellow sleevers, I admit I ate a Tim Horton's honey cruller this morning as a treat. NEVER AGAIN. I have had no issues with the foods I have introduced to my sleeve since surgery on 12/17/12. Until today. Here I sit, with tons of errands to run, with intestinal cramps before which my heart pounded, and I'm afraid I won't be able to get away from the bathroom long enough to get much accomplished today. UGH. I have become the "donut nazi". NO DONUTS FOR YOU! Ever...OMG.

I don't have my wet noodle handy at the moment, but good to know about the donuts, lol.

You ate a donut?!!? How could you?? Didnt you have this surgery to lose weight and never enjoy a sugary treat again?!? Oh wait, it sounds like you're not enjoying it so much now! Lol! That sucks! Hopefully it passes soon. What a way to learn what the sleeve doesn't like huh? Brutal! ;)

Well, that was some great aversion therapy, but I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this! Hope you feel better very soon.

I enjoyed that same experience after creme brulee at 5 weeks.

That yanked a knot in my sugar cravings.

I am NOT gonna beat you silly

aren't you glad i didn't say any of the above

anybody that "knows" me knows that i couldn't say shi..t if i had my mouth full of it

i'm fooling you adm. police - i said a "naughty" word and got away with it :D

Kendra - you know you screwed up - no one needs to tell you that

i'm sure NO one here will yell at you!!!

that wouldn't be helpful, since you've already done the deed

the future is today and tomorrow

the truth is many/most of us had made similar/stupid mistakes - you are not the first and you won't be the last!!

you learned the hard way not to make this mistake again

85 lbs down the toilet, FLUSH

keep doing what you are doing - except the crueller

best wishes :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
