PdxMan 4,292 Posted March 27, 2013 How could I even fathom what life is like for a person who is 400 lbs. Even helping my mother who was that heavy - I cant even imagine how hard it must be to use a lift to have people get you up for the day. I have compassion for it but I have no idea how that feels. I agree, I can't fathom what life is like for a 400, 500, 600 ... pound person. Whilst the physical stuggle differences may be miles apart, I do feel the mental struggles are quite similar. And that is where the forum has helped me. 5 Kristina J., JerseyGirl68, MrsG and 2 others reacted to this
Ima Loser 197 Posted March 27, 2013 You guys attacking the OP don't realize that you majorly put people on the defensive. Come on. When there is 3 or 4 o you coming at one person, what do you expect them to do? It's basic psychology. You seem to have no idea that this is what you all do allll the time. It's a bit much. She posted something she felt. They're her feelings. No one else's. And no one has the right to jump in and try to bully her into feeling any different. Just as a lot of you told me...if you don't like what someone says, then don't read it. Just move on. Take your own advice. Hopefully this doesn't happen, but not I'm expecting a gang war against me. We shall see. Maybe people wouldn't be so much on the defensive if the OP wasn't coming across like she was better then other people (this is just IMHO) and if she didn;t us the term "faties" to refer to other people on this site... That was just rude! 6 Sadtosaygoodbye, NJGurl19, Ms.AntiBand and 3 others reacted to this
Sadtosaygoodbye 256 Posted March 27, 2013 The "public forum" excuse is used when it's convenient. Yes yes I know. Too tired to argue right now. What you consider is an excuse, other people conider it a fact. No one likes being called a fattie! 5 No game, Kristina J., Ms.AntiBand and 2 others reacted to this

BigFatLoser 331 Posted March 27, 2013 But I really don't think she meant it that way. Poor choice of words, yes, but I don't think it was malicious. Even so, life's too short. Who really cares. 1 VSG_me reacted to this

So yes... excuse.

superchica879 58 Posted March 27, 2013 Your right no one else is in our shoes. A lot of my family did the same thing.....my siblings are much bigger than I was and were totally negative about me getting the surgery, but why would I want to wait......to get bigger or more unhealthy?! No thanks, I did what I felt was best for me! My husband and son's have been my greatest supporters. Surround yourself with positive people and as far as people on here judging...no one should...point blank! 3 Ms.AntiBand, VSG_me and onelessfatgirl reacted to this
