Readjust things like your carbs and Water intake. More water more loss. Don't let your body think its starving. AND... Sometimes you have to be patient. You may be a slow loser like some of us. BUT... The weight will come off, I promise!

Relax sweetness, 15 days post op you're body is still trying to figure out WTF just happened. Let it take some time to adjust. What kind of gains we talking about here? A few ounces a day? Make sure you're hitting your caloric marks, and focus on those liquids!!! Some people have success with cutting carbs, I do, but I don't want to get in to the mind set of focusing on a diet just yet. Focus on getting in solid nutrition. Right now, liquids for you since you're so new out of surgery. Have patience, relax, and don't stress yourself out over it. Hide the scale for a week or so and don't even worry about it.

Do you track your food? I use MyFitnessPal.com and it helps to see what you are really doing...

I do track my food, and calories burned. I was 22.2 down and now at 21.4 so over last two days put a little less than a pound back on.

I'm on purée foods, but every morning I drink Protein Shake, and then usually 1/2 cup of refried Beans or cottage cheese or something along those lines for lunch and dinner. Sometimes I finish sometimes don't. And drink all day, and feel like need snack usually sugar free pudding.< /p>

But not been tracking carbs, I will watch but my dr diet guide line doesn't have calorie or carb intake that they would like at this point only Protein and fluids.

The re-fried Beans could have a lot of sodium... maybe its Water retention?

A .8 fluctuation over 2 days is normal and nothing to think twice about. My body weight can fluctuate upwards of 4 pounds in 2 days. I literally hit my all time low of 258 3 days ago. In that 3 days I have been back up to just shy of 261... I woke up this morning to a new all time low of 257.3. Dropped 3 pounds overnight... I can gain 2-3 pounds over night as well. I have learned to watch my "all time lows" rather than focus on the fluctuations.

You better get use to these weight fluctuations because this is how most members here lose weight... Plenty of ups and downs weight wise but over time its a steady progression down.

Mark is spot on. Don't weigh everyday, it is easy to want to see a ton of changes right out of the box, but realistically it isn't going to happen. Get your Water in, the more water in the more comes out. A lot of foods have a ton of sodium, you have to watch that if you are reducing your intake as it will cause you to blow up quickly. Also as your body adjusts to the surgery, it will do every thing it can to hold on to as much energy (fat) as it can. Are you doing some type of exercise, walking etc. Its not too soon to start moving about to get your heart rate a little elevated. It will happen, you just got to let the body get used to it.

You are counting tenths of a pound and weighing every other day? Put that scale away for at least a week.

Do it! Do it now! <_<

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
