Oh, Yeah! I got a knitting book that has a bikini in it! But Darcy wants more coverage -- so would I. My belly hangs over like Niagara Falls when I put on my pants. And that's just my upper belly!

I think a quilted muu-muu with a ruffle. Then she'll have to do a dance for us. That would be your exercise, Miss Darcy! How did this get started, anyway? Sheesh....

Becky, I have that same belly! LOL Keep wearing those tight jeans!

Maybe you can make a "baby doll" swim suit (with those crocheted coconuts halves)!

I think we scared poor Darcy off. She's afeared we're gonna make her dance on the beach in a baby doll with coconuts!

When I first got on these bulletin boards, I was quite intrigued by the bananas. Now I think there should be a limit on the length of the chorus line! LOL

Darcy, thanks for that message and suggestion of getting back to band basics. I never, ever, ever would have considered drinking soda, or drinking with meals. The one negative thing I have to say about LBT is that I actually learned how to "eat around the band" from reading posts here. I was afraid to drink with meals, but for the holidays I started sipping with meals. Then I drank a whole can of Pepsi! I've gone over 1/2 year without doing these things, so why did I start now?

So thank you, cause I'm off to lunch where I will not drink, and I will chew chew chew. Love ya!

LOL Messing around with this thread LOL Boy have you. Glad I'm not part of this.

Any ways ladies All I hear from you is how much you want to cover up. I understand to a point but your all beautiful women and you need to know that people have to accept you as you are or their not worth calling friend.

Of cousre don't get any ideas that I'm ready for the Speedo picture LOL.

Lisa you talked about PMS recently that when I saw this I thought of you. or I should say Chris so tell him what I sent LOL: How can you tell which bottle contains her PMS medicine? It's the one with bite marks on the cap!

ALRIGHTY I MADE MY CHRISTMAS GOAL.

OPPS. Its past Christmas...(Naturally after the challenge is over I lose)Oh well I am as happy as I could have been had I hit it right on the day. Lost all the damage I did last week and Like Darcy I threw in a few extra just for the Hell of it.

What great news on the 5 month anniversay of my Banding. And I owe it mostly to you out here that have helped me stay focused. TY TY TY

In case you haven't figured it out yet I am very excited LOL I'd like to thank the academy and all who voted for me...My parents who gave me life and my family who have stood behind me(at least until I got banded...Ref to Burping and farting Thread for details) this whole time.

Congrats Greg! Nobody has any doubts about your performance talents. :D

I've been sitting here reflecting on the week... you know what... I really didn't deprive myself... we even went out for dinner one night... BUT... I cut out the snacking and tried to stick with mostly Protein. I am actually amazed that following the most basic bandster rules really made such a big difference.

I don't expect that this coming week will bring me as nice of a weight loss but I'm tickled that I am moving forward instead of backwards!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
