And as long as I got my suit and tie

I'ma leave it all on the floor tonight

And you got fixed up to the nines

Let me show you a few things

All pressed up in black and white

And you're dressed in that dress I like

Love is swinging in the air tonight

Let me show you a few things

Let me show you a few things

Show you a few things about love

Now we're in the swing of love

Let me show you a few things

Show you a few things about love

I tend to read things very literally over the threads unless there is some kind of huge red flag that it is sarcasm and that has caused some issues for me here. IMO, sarcasm doesn't translate well in this setting and should be avoided but thats just me and I have my own biases. Sometimes I do question people though because I'm not really here to hold hands and tell someone everything is going to be OK when they are really making every huge mistake in the book. I don't think validating people like that is really a good move, but after much headbutting I have learned to just pass those threads over. I'd rather give it zero attention then say something that blows it up to 12 pages of back and forth nastiness.

I think more and more I am finding myself saving my time for people asking real questions on legitimate topics not "omgeee I hate 4 cheeseburgers tell me everything is fine" (not that it happens like that but you get my point)

Stating for people to keep negativity to themselves is irrelevant when this is a public forum..we have weight issues that aren't to be candy coated in my opinion .. I say any information from the vets harsh or not should be appreciated.. Unless its considered down right mean or hateful. that of which I have yet to see but bringing up negativity in such a way leaves it wide open for all to speak on .. So, happy happy happy all~~~~

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
