Thanks everyone!

BTW - I like my new little butt too LOL ;) My husband called it a heart this morning

I've got a little more work but I am still insanely proud and thankful for my surgeon and modern science!

Looking great!!! What were your stats on iphone ap & can'tread ur profile.

I'm 5'0, starting weight 194 (bmi 37.9) - today I'm 129.5 (bmi 25.2) so my total lost is 64.5. My goal is 125 but I've started increasing my calories to slow my loss so I can find a sweet spot. I had my surgery on October 16, 2012. I've gone from an 18 to a 2/4 (depending who makes it).

I'm hypothyroid so I've kept my calories extremely low the entire time to account for my slower metabolism - when actively losing I stayed around 500-700 (surgeon ok'd this). Now I'm around 1,000 to slow my losing and I hope to maintain at 1,200. I also try to work out at least 4 days a week - my current endeavor is walking cardio (using a HRM, I maintain a HR of 150 for about an hour by doing brisk walking with a steep incline - I'm doing this b/c I have to build slowly since I had severe asthma and it allows me to tone my legs and butt while doing it).

Yep - see the post right above yours for what I do. I also am working in strength training but not consistent with that yet.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
