Hi Everyone - :)

Wanted to see how everyone who had their sleeve done in Feb are doing.

Hope you are doing well.

Hi Tammy,

Feb 20 was my VSG. Most days I get all of my Protein in. Water is more challenging, not b/c I can't drink it but b/c I never drank 64 oz a day before surgery. I have tolerated all the foods I've tried so far. Weight loss has been slow and steady and I eat 2-4 oz usually at meals. I have been working on eating slower, my challenge there is it has reduced my intake by about 150-200 cals. So my quandary is do I eat at my own pace and risk eating too fast or eat slow (2 min btwn bites) and get in around 500 cals vs. my previous average of 700 calories. I'd love to hear people's thoughts.

Hi, I had surgery on the 21st and am doing great! Everything I've tried eating has agreed with me!. My only challenge is remembering to eat slowly. Sometimes I'm not thinking and take too big a bite and have discomfort. I'm able to get in all my Proteins and fluids each day. For exercise, I try to walk at least 10,000 steps a day. I am loving my sleeve!

My surgery was Feb. 21st and I am doing great! I'm learning to live with my sleeve (which I love!)...but there are definite challenges. It's tough to get in 64 ounces of fluids, and I can't seem to learn to eat s-l-o-w-l-y. I found that I do better with four meals each day, rather than three - and that my sleeve likes moist/wet food. My daily calorie count is generally under 700. The wonderful "not even hungry" honeymoon period has ended for me, so I'm spending more time planning meals that will satisfy my desire for flavor. I'm using a tablespoon or two of sauce (carolina mustard bbq/portbella mushroom) to add some moisture and some zip to my tuna, chicken, and turkey meatballs.

My "must haves" are Protein Powder, dannon light and fit greek yogurt (80 calories) and my "wand" blender.

The most amazing part of this, for me, is being able to get rid of my too-big clothes as I lose weight. In the past, I've held onto them because I thought/feared/knew that I might need the bigger sizes again sometime in the future. Now I am confident that I will never be that size again! What a huge NSV!!

So far my only "issue" is Constipation. Hoping that improves with time and strategic use of veggies!

Seems like the only time I don't feel well is if I eat too fast or eat a higher fat food.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
