at 2 weeks:

-cream of wheat made with milk- kinda of thin. There is Protein in it!

-pushed up cottage cheese

- soft cheese like babybel- let is sit at room temp for about 10 mins. first they melt in your mouth.

-greek yogurt.

-if you can tolerate them refried Beans. with a little sour cream.

Thats what I lived off of from 2 weeks to 1 month

Do you have a diet guide from your doc? If so follow what it says.

Is it hunger? Or is it acid/reflux? Maybe head hunger.

I am one week post- op and I feel like I'm hungry too! It was so easy being at the hospital and knowing there wasn't food to look at, but since I have come home and have had to cook for my family, I feel like I could turn into a psyco path! I sometimes have to chew gum to satisfy my urge to chew. I cannot wait to have real food again.

It will get better but it can get so tough I actually cried. Egg drop Soup was my "treat" because it didn't seem like diet food. Creamy Soups were great for me as well. Hang in there and stay diligent. It WILL get better.

I found a new love for split pea Soup at that stage! I really needed to thin down refried Beans if I ate them. Out of the can they were way too thick. Greek yogurt is good just watch for sugar. Stick to sugar free plain if you can.

I am in the same boat! I'm two weeks out and at first cooking wasn't bad bc I knew I couldn't have it and I didn't even want it but now I'm like what the hellllll am I putting myself through!! It's like torture!! Seriously. I made BBQ chicken last night for my hub and it smelled so amazing and I was so ready to be like "screw it one bite won't kill me" (I didn't). It was brutal. I have been living off tuna green Beans yogurt and was given a fab recipe for buffalo chicken salad type thing from someone on here. It was amazzzzzeeee!! Probably too good. Pretty sure I over did it yesterday. lol but we can all do this!!!! Just keep drinking Water. It fills me (usually) for a while.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
