Nicolanz 1,484 Posted March 25, 2013 I love hellmans real mayo but they do have one made with olive oil that's 35 calories per tbsp.
southernsoul 773 Posted March 25, 2013 I hate most mayo, so I've made a sandwich spread out of cottage cheese that I've processed smooth in my little 3 cup food processor (a blender works, too). Add a little lemon juice, or garlic, or some herbs & you're good to go. Also, you can drain plain yogurt overnight with some cheesecloth in a strainer. The result is thicker, more like mayo or sour cream.

JustinNC 51 Posted March 25, 2013 I use Fat Free Miracle Whip That's so wrong lol. That's not Mayonnaise, but then again, I did ask for a substitute. I'm from the south where Dukes mayonnaise is a food group of its own lol. I'm just messing with you, my wife LOVES Miracle Whip. I HATE it except in her potato salad. I can be fine without mayo when used as a spread, although I LOVE it, but as a binder these ideas are great 1 amazingmimi reacted to this
FishingNurse 1,211 Posted March 25, 2013 I am probably going to rile up a bunch of people! I don't use low fat or sugar free anything... never have since day one post-op. I ate ALL sugar free and fat free everything since I was 7 years old and guess what? I ended up 260 pounds. So, I eat the real deal in small portions, I am so much more satisfied and healthy. I have maintained my goal weight for a year and counting. When you are eating such small amounts of things I truly believe real fat is much better than processed, fat removed, sugar added crap. My cholesterol is normal, all my labs are great. Just my opinion!! 7 amazingmimi , sr910, Jillian K8 and 4 others reacted to this
fyre_storm 1,412 Posted March 25, 2013 I don't do low fat anything. The moderation is key to success. Eating around your sleeve will harm you. Not eating fat free wont in moderation. I've lost 103 lbs in 5 months so the proof is in the pudding! 7 ThinIce, FishingNurse, sr910 and 4 others reacted to this

Weight and blood pressure.....welllll I guess that's why I'm here haha. 1 FishingNurse reacted to this
avanti 92 Posted March 25, 2013 I agree with Sleeve of Steel.. and fyre_storm... i always have regular and the fat free kind in stock.. just that even a teaspoon of regualr mayo/ranch/or anything.. these days.. kinda makes me feel guilty..with all kinds of "what if" questions.. honestly.. I hate low fat/fat free stuff.. i feel like a lab rat when I look at the ingridients list.. will have to reason with my guilt.. that is not going to be easy..! 1 FishingNurse reacted to this
12345 80 Posted March 25, 2013 Try Bolthouse Farms yogurt dressing as a mayo substitute. It comes in a lot of flavors and has only 45 calories for 2 tablespoons. It's in the refrigerated section of the produce department.
JustinNC 51 Posted March 25, 2013 All I want to use it for is a binder with tuna or chicken, so yogurt with a little seasoning may work
