You can mix crystal light or diet snapple with unflavored Protein Powder and make them into ice pops

I've tried several brands of Protein Shakes and I've come to the conclusion that they all taste yucky when they're made with Water instead of milk. However, there is one from GNC called "Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60" that I think is my favorite. To me it tastes incredible when made with water (I've let others try it and they agree). It's a little pricey but might be worth a try. They let me sample some at the GNC where I bought it.

I like the Syntax Nectars too. I get them at Nashua Nutrition (available online). They sell single serving packs so you can try different flavors to find what you like. I like the chocolate truffle or the double stuffed (Oreo) mixed with 1 cup of milk. You can mix one scoop with 8-16 oz of either milk or Water. I've also mixed it with plain yogurt (1/4 scoop of a fruit flavor to 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt), and I add the unflavored one to strawberry smoothies.< /p>

I talked to my nutritionist and she told me to try making the shakes in the blender with ice and also said I can have a piece of meat a day which sounds so good right now dont know how much it can change the taste by using ice and a blender but at this point I have nothing to lose.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
