How are things going? Where are you in the process? yes I was there and remember you . Things are moving along smoothly I just got a call today to come in August and have a EDD done and then I got a call to see a hematologist as well. My last appointment with Erin is the 26th of November. Do you remember if you knock you out during your endoscopy or did you even have one?

I think they require an endoscopy of everyone getting a sleeve or bypass. You are not put under general anesthesia, but you are given Verced and Fentanyl which sedates you and means you don't remember anything. I didn't feel anything at all. The worst part was getting the IV. I was really tired and kinda loopy for the rest of the day. Don't plan to do anything important. :-)

Christine O. 7 Posted July 10, 2013 thanks <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> what insurance do you have? I work for the state, so I have the Providence PEBB Statewide plan. You?
NewAshes 232 Posted July 10, 2013 I work for the state, so I have the Providence PEBB Statewide plan. You? i have OHP plus which is trillium. I hear they are easy to work with but they have a extra hoop..not sure if you had to do it but I had to take a drug test at the beginning so they would cover everything. That included a nicotine test. It set me back a week cause the weekend before my appointment I had tried a little bit of my bfs cigar (not a smoker) so I waited till it was out of my system. Would have been nice if someone told me my insurance required that lol.

fit2Bme2014 38 Posted January 12, 2014 Hi! I know the original post is a bit old, but I'm in EUGENE and I'm having my first appointment with Dr. Folek on 1/14. It's only been a few weeks since I went to the orientation, so I've not been do a support group meeting yet. Anyway, I would love to connect with other Sleeve folks in the area. spiritedcowgirl63 108 Posted January 16, 2014 How are you doing since your surgery on the 12th & 13th?
NewAshes 232 Posted January 16, 2014 I'm doing great. My first night was rough but after that I was doing good. Was released from hospital yesterday and now just trying to get my Protein and fluids in and walking.
mrsajdixon 12 Posted January 16, 2014 First night was really rough, but after that getting out of bed was easier and easier... I have a lot of built up gas.... (TMI). It's the gas they use during the sleeve procedure and natural one. I actually had surgery on the Monday the 13th. Trying to get as much liquid and Protein down now! 2 CBT and fit2Bme2014 reacted to this
