SleevedSmurf 18 Posted September 4, 2013 So happy I found this thread. I had my surgery on 8/29 and I haven't had a bowel movement yet. However every time I do go to the bathroom when I wipe my behind something is always there even though I didn't have a vowel movement . That worries me. Anyone else have that experience? Sorry to be so gross
JSCRIMPSHIRE 56 Posted September 4, 2013 I had a period three days after surgery and it lasted for a while. My doc said it started from the trauma to my body from surgery. I am on the shot and am not supposed to have a period at all. I also have PCOS.... Would love to chat with fellow PCOS folks!!
ashbhey 125 Posted September 4, 2013 I had a period three days after surgery and it lasted for a while. My doc said it started from the trauma to my body from surgery. I am on the shot and am not supposed to have a period at all. I also have PCOS.... Would love to chat with fellow PCOS folks!! Just wanted to update... I originally posted this back in March right after surgery. I have (had?) Pcos and endometriosis. I've had ZERO problems with my period after this post. I've lost 100+ lbs, and had my period last week. Wasn't painful AT ALL. The only issue I had was not being hungry at all (like food was disgusting to me).. But as far as pain, ZERO. Carly4HandinSD 313 Posted September 4, 2013 I am a year out from surgery, when I first had surgery I had PCOS and had never had a regular cycle. Within a month of surgery i got my first cycle on my own and it was the worst I have ever had. I thought something has to be wrong, bleeding this bad, I felt like I couldn't even stand up I was so weak... It lasted over a week. The next month my cycle was completely normal. Now a year out every 28 days I have a cycle, it only lasts about 3-4 days and usually the 2nd day is fairly heavy, but not like the first real period i had after surgery. So hopefully it gets better for you... As far as the problem with your # 2, if you are only having liquid, its going to come out liquid.. liquid in liquid out... Enjoy it while you can because the further you get in recovery pooping seems like an exciting thing because it doesn't happen often and can be more difficult :-/
