Was able to eat 2 hard shell tacos today... Is that considered a lot?

I left this site weeks ago because of how bitter and mean people were and I really don't want to leave again. I just don't understand how things get so ugly so fast.

However, you are back and that is good to hear. It is sad when people decide to leave because of some silly back and forth. We all need each other in one way or another. Everyone has an opinion that matters and we all share so many common experiences. Let's remember that. There is more positive on this site then negative, and the negative seems to be highly concentrated. There is no reason to let random strangers have such an impact on your day. You are all worth so much more then that!

Love the new pic fiddleman!

And now I'm sad! I got a lot out of reading comments left by lessofmeismore and moregoodtimes. I guess I don't blame them. But I still will miss both terribly! :(

Thanks MrsG.

Oh man, my wife got addicted to those. Be careful as too many of these could add up over the week. It looks like they are 170 cal for 1. Carbs, fat and Protein are each around 10 g. Do you like cool ranch or original (cheese) flavor?

I personally would not choose to eat these, but they are not that unwieldy in their nutritional stats.

I had a cool ranch flavor. I couldn't eat them every night but I felt okay after doing it. After the past six weeks I really thought I'd never be normal again.

I wonder about the pouch size, I'm 2 weeks post sleeve and was sick of liquids today and wanted to chew, I ate 8 Pringles. No problem and that is my problem. Why was I able to do that without any problems?

Pringles are a pretty tasty slider. They take up literally zero space once you have chewed them. However, do not get accustomed to eating sliders. They are going to be your vice post op if you are not careful. Instead, choose solid Proteins that are going to fill you up once you are cleared for solids.

...... Lol uh chips are sliders. And two weeks post up chips be a no no. Go to the search option and type in sliders. Chips won't fill your pouch at all.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
