kfrobison 8 Posted March 24, 2013 I am 4 days post op and on a very limited full liquid diet. It consists of yogurt, protien suppliements, and pureed fruit. I was craving something savory and the chicken broth just was not cutting it. my husband came up with an excellent add in for the plain yogurt, taco seasoning! I just popped the contents of the packet into my spice grinder and added a small amount of the powdered goodness into the yogurt, it iasted like I was eating a dip with a spoon, spicy and creamy. Does anyone have any other suggestions? 2 Carole Flower and Lee 316 reacted to this
Lisa :) 231 Posted March 24, 2013 You could also use Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix....greek yogurt is very much like sour cream so any dip mix that you would add to sour cream will work in greek yogurt as well. Years ago...when I was in my teens and 20's, I would use taco seasoning in sour cream and dip tortilla chips in it!! I loved it!! 1 LifetimeLoser reacted to this
T'snewstart 251 Posted March 24, 2013 if you are in the mood for something sweet.. you could use sugar free Jello. another option is PB2 powder that would be yummy I think I will try that... 1 TES reacted to this

moregoodtimes 331 Posted March 25, 2013 PB2 .. Iocally i find it at my area health food stores. It is really good. For me, too good! It has reduced fat, but still must be monitored. It is still peanut butter! They make chocolate peanut as well! In my yogurt i sometimes mix in a half scoop of vanilla or chocolate Protein powder if i need additional Protein. I found i was spending a lot on fage, my favorite, so now make it. It is a bit thinner, so i add chia seeds and other stuff like nutmeg, cinnamon or mio, put the lid back on and pack in my lunch bag. Malexa03 18 Posted March 25, 2013 My local Giant grocery store sells it. It is on the top shelf above the regular Peanut Butter. I never look at the top shelf until hearing about it. It is however a little cheaprr at Amazon and they also sell bigger jars of it. I put it in my smoothie with greek yogurt and chocolate Protein Powder. My kids like it too. TES 858 Posted March 25, 2013 JustGreatStuff also makes a powdered PB that has a nutritional profile almost identical to PB2, and it's organic, which I like. I love it in Greek Yogurt with one splenda! or in a Protein Shake.< /p> For other Greek yogurt add-ins--I like dill dip mix. I can eat it with veggies now, 7 weeks post op. Really tasty! I like to add Protein powder also--makes it taste like pudding. chocolate protein powder with PB2 is really good.
