Moon123 1 Posted March 23, 2013 I had my sleeve surgery on 3/8/2013 ,i am 2 weeks post op and from day one I have been having a lot of discomfort , pain and spasms in the abdomen ,things started to worsen last week when I had episodes of vomiting after I drink any liquid or even after my chewable vitamins ,my surgeon ordered barium test that showed no leak but v narrow area where liquid is barely passing,I cant not tolerate things like cream of wheat,Greek yogurt ,i would vomit anything other than warm to hot liquids and I was starting to get dehydrated ,I was admitted to hospital for IV fluids and endoscopy to see what was going on! This morning I had the endoscopy which showed a functional obstruction in the sleeve and a stent was put to keep the obstructed area open ,the endoscopy dr said it must be removed after 6 weeks ,I am at hospital with bad pain and severe nausea ,I just wanted to share my experience and to see if anyone had a stent ?also I was told that after removing the stent in 6 weeks and evaluation I may need another one.I am so frustrated, confused ,I was not expecting all this after my surgery. Moon123 1 Posted April 21, 2013 A week after the stent was put I still had bad nausea ,I was able to eat better through ! Then I began having severe abdominal pain and my surgeon admitted me for further testing and to get some IV fluids ,i did upper GI series and it was ok showed some esophageal stenosis ,at this stage anything cold would really hurt so I was surviving on worm or hot liquids, then my Dr said the gallbladder needs to be removed as the sonogram showed inflammation and stones !! I never complained of gallbladder before gastric sleeve . So I ended up going through gallbladder surgery less than a month after the gastric sleeve . Now 10 days post gallbladder I still have severe nausea , cramping and diarrhea right away after almost eating anything !! I am basically living on Gatorade ,can't tolerate Protein shakes their taste makes me more nauseous,my dr is saying it is the stent and once it is taken out I will feel better , but they can't remove it earlier than the agreed upon 6 weeks which will be on May 1st !! At this stage I do regret having the gastric sleeve surgery , I have been in complication one after the other .

Moon123 1 Posted May 12, 2013 Hi ,thank you all for your nice words and support , I finally had the stent taken out by endoscopy on May 1st ,after that procedure the nausea decreaded a lot and after couple of days food didn't cause me pain or discomfort, I feel much better but I still can't eat but tiny bites and I get full right away.the sleeve has moderate narrowing that is from the endoscopy report . The surgeon is saying narrowing doesn't meen anything and I should eat soft first then move to solids although I am 8 weeks post sleeve. I still can't tolerate the taste of protien drinks the only one I can push myself to dink is Isopure I 1 No game reacted to this
