sillygirlee 3 Posted March 23, 2013 I'm 2 weeks post op. Can I blend a banana in with a vanilla Unjury Protein Shake? Please! I'm looking for some variety here!
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted March 23, 2013 Go to the food forum and there is a huge list of Protein Drink recipes. There are a lot of sugar free syrups you can buy that make a huge difference in the taste. the only person who should tell you if you can advance your diet is your surgeon. mikeross 216 Posted March 23, 2013 you know a whole banana has almost 30g of carbs right? If your trying to lose and not maintain I would not eat them. 1 sillygirlee reacted to this
puppyphat 397 Posted March 23, 2013 At 2 weeks post op, you'll not be eating anywhere near the amount needed to maintain, bananas are high in potassium which helps with fatigue and muscle repair. I ALWAYS have a banana post workout and I'm not a slow loser. The benefits way out weigh the carbs.
