Vajay jay question....?!

I've been wondering about this recently, too. Definitely not as firm as it used to be!

@ cowgirl Jane, you look fantastic. A totally different looking women. I agree its worth the extra skin. You have lost lots and u look really good in your clothes. I have lost 65# and have loose skin on arms and stomach and I think o look great in my clothes. Lucky for me my husband loves me skinny, fat, loose skin and all. Thank God, cause I can't.. afford. Plastics

I have a question' date=' not necessarily vajay jay related, but plastics in general :) I am lucky enough that my insurance will cover my sleeve (hoping for July surgery date) and I'm not sure that I will ever be able to afford plastics. I already worry about the loose skin....I know that this is going to bother me when it happens. I worry that I will still feel as bad about my body as I do now. When you're big, if you're going to get naked in front of someone, they pretty much know what to expect. However, if you're smaller and look good in clothes, they aren't expecting to see a bunch of loose skin when you disrobe. My DH passed away in 2007 and I have not been in a real relationship since then, but I hope to be again one day. If you were unable to have plastics, would you still be okay with yourself?[/quote']

It all depends on your skin, nutrition and excercise. Age can also be a factor. I am 19 mos post op GS and 33 yo. I have a few areas that I'm slightly bothered by: my inner thighs were very loose until recently I have notice some tightening in that area. My arms were loose as well, and now not so bad. I have that typical back bra area that most women hate to see, except mine seems more loose than most. all of these areas can be formed and tightened to what may be a tolerable level. That part is up to you and what makes you feel good! It's definitely healthier to wait longer after surgery before deciding on plastic surgery. I started training for a half marathon shortly after my GS and that helped me lose weight and gain muscle at the same time. I didn't really start focusing on building muscle until recently when I started a bootcamp fitness class. I also use coconut oil to moisturize and nourish my skin which I believe is helping a lot. I have lost over 110 lbs from my heaviest. You may have more or less to lose. Your skin elasticity may be better or worse than mine. You can start nourishing your skin even before surgery! Do your research, and start now!

Guess I could respond to the original thread too...

Mine shrunk some. Could be smaller, but it doesn't bother me really! I'm mostly thrilled that I can actually see it myself again for maintenance!

I've heard for those having plastics done in that region if you go for a Tummy Tuck, check the incision lines they plan to use. I know of a surgeon that does a "w" line in an effort to hide the incisions in the creases of the hips/thighs. It cuts into the upper vag region too and the result is a smaller looking bump.

Yeah...I have watched them. Totally looks dreadful! However I want nothing more then to get rid of this skin on my tummy! I will be getting a lift and implants for my boobs too since the last 20 pounds I have lost hit my poor boobs bad. I went from a double d down to a very heavily padded d! My husband calls them flap jacks! They look like I had a balloon blown up to its ultimate max...then got popped! My surgeon suggested getting bigger ones then I want...he said he has never had a woman say she wished she got smaller implants....I said I don't want my boobs entering a room five seconds before my body does! Lol I just want them to be full and perky...and my stomach flat. I could probably fit into about 2 sizes smaller in my pants if it weren't for my skin on my tummy! But at least I can see my lady parts again! Lol

I am with you on the TT and BL/Augmentation but Have you seen pics of bottoming out of implants on women who start with a D cup or larger and get the BL/A combo.I am scared to have double bubbles. But something has got to give with these boobs I started with a 38 ddd and am now a 36 dd. most of which is skin and I have 30lbs to go...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
