Go on a hot spring break excursion and send him another picture in the swimsuit with a guy who would love to have the chance to appreciate you. There are so many who would! You've come a long way & you look fabulous!

Do not let one insecure comment shake your progress. Confidence is key.

Truly, in my opinion, you look totally happy in this picture & no one is in it but you. Continue being happy for and about yourself, you deserve it & you're young! Life is too short to be with someone who can't foster your dreams along side of you. :)

Some people just do not understand. Obesity is a disease. Whether it is poor nutritional skills or poor will power, getting to be morbidly obese is more than just oh you eat to much. There are psychological factors and biological factors that "normal" people just do not understand. Any person that thinks WLS is taking the easy way out is ignorant and uninformed. There is nothing easy about WLS. It takes more commitment to have WLS then to just do a fad diet or something like that. It is a total lifestyle change commitment and there is no backing out. Anyone making this commitment is courageous in my mind. If your boyfriend cannot fully support you, then you are better off on your own. It is really that simple. I was warned in the very beginning that relationships can change due to this. Do what is best for you... the rest will work its way out.

You are a very beautiful young lady! Don't let him tell you otherwise. I agree with the others, let him know how his words hurt you, if he can't understand, then I'll help you find a HIGH curb to kick him to and I'll help push him off the edge

I don't usually make comments like the one I am getting ready to make, based on someone's interpretation of things said or done. BUT if that is the picture you sent him, and that is exactly what he said - and if he is still going on and on about the surgery after you had it. Well, let me pull out my soapbox...

You are better off than you have ever been from the sound of it (physically). You still have a tremendous road ahead, and you need to be at your best, whenever possible. This is the person, that at 2 years into a relationship I assume it is at least somewhat serious.

Love is a strong emotion, and I would never want to get rid of someone because they were having a hard time dealing with something (yes, even if it were my own weight loss), BUT BUT BUT what you relayed here warrants some real consideration as to whether this person is worth your time.

This might be a good time to read up on passive-aggressiveness and those that are routinely (be it aware or not) so. These people are the sleever's nemesises (spelling, lol) and should be avoided - but also learn to recognize it and deal with it.

PS - even if you keep the boyfriend, find someone else to send thise pics to - someone who can appreciate just how awesome that is, and how very pretty you look.

You look fabulous. It sounds like you might need to reevaluate if this boyfriend is some one you want around you on this journey. I am sure most of us can say we have been in an unhealthy relationship and one point or another. It will just be up to you as to whether or not you want to put up with negativity going forward. I can't believe that the comment he made was made AFTER you lost as much weight had you have. Usually those snarky comments find us when we are at our high weight, not when we are finally losing and getting ourselves back on track!

I think you have better things in your future love, just don't wear blinders when it comes to the relationship.

You are too cute! Life is too short and you are too young to settle for someone who doesn't see how beautiful you are inside and out. You were sleeved to be healthy and happy, don't let someone boyfriend or other steal your happiness. There are lots of fish in the sea.... :)

You look marvolous, dahling!

Don't hate on yourself for doing what is best for you. He's not supportive, and so that might just be another bit of dead weight that needs to go too. TO be really honest, my bf is supportive but also says he wont like it if I lose my curves. He likes me squishy. lol. I am half preparing myself to tell him to bu[mp]er off if he doesn't like the new me. Trust me, there is a man out there who will want you as you are now, and for the woman you are going to be. Search your heart and use that feminine intuition. You know what is right, and what is best to do.

In the meantime, STRUT THAT SEXY SELF!

"You know, I have to be honest, you've really let yourself go."

You should really let him see how much you let yourself "Go" right out the door!

I don't know why I started thinking about Gloria Gaynor's song, I will survive.......

.......Oh, no, not I, I will survive Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give And I'll survive, I will survive, hey, hey......

If he said this once, it may be excusable, if it's constant it may be time for a change.

Good luck. You look fabulous!

First...you look gorgeous!! Your boyfriend seems to be envious of the new you and your confidence. He may be saying those things to you to make you feel bad SO about yourself that you'll be scared to leave him. Whatever the case is, you do what's best for you. If he's not supportive of your journey, push him to the side and make room for the one who will be supportive. Wish you the best.

You are looking great! Love the suit btw--hope you bought it. Sorry, but your BF sounds emotionally abusive. I would drop that zero and get yourself a hero--or just focus on yourself for a while. You deserve better!

It is obviously his own insecurities. Don't put up with that! This is a time in your life that should be about you! Weight loss is hard with or without the sleeve and we all need encouragement. He needs to shape up or ship out, you are are beautiful and deserve better. Keep up the great work :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
