Upping my water to lose some weight

Recommended Posts

I decided to try to drink more Water to try to break my stall. So far I have almost finished off 3 liters of water and think I can get one more liter in by tonight. I'm am very well hydrated today.

Oh and I went from my one month post-op bloodwork today.

I've done the same over the past week. I went from 2 liters to 3-4 and broke my month long stall!

I need to try this too. Is this the only change you are making?

Make sure to limit your sodium intake so you don't hold on to the Fluid. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Lemon in the Water will help, with Water retention

.... And fresh green peppers also help with water retention

Yes this will be my only change bc I can't really up my calories unless I eat slider food. Everything else I can only eat a few ounces especially meat. So hopefully this will work. If it doesn't then gonna go the yogurt route. Someone on YouTube posted it and they do a yogurt day for 2-3 days and they break their stall. They use 0% Fage yogurt and mix in sugar free syrups and fruit.< /p>

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
