ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted March 20, 2013 Today was a good day!! EYE CANDY 2 weeks old, i remember when you were a new born moving along - getting more and more Protein and Water in - good for you feeling back to your "normal" self good!!!!! just curious about eating chicken breast so early after WLS? but all docs/NUTS are different, and i'm sure they gave you the go ahead, and you are eating and chewing very slowly and carefully take care bud doing great
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted March 20, 2013 I am really glad you are on the up and up, that you had a good day. As with previous reply, I am a little surprised at you eating chicken breast at only 2 weeks post op. do be careful and listen to you doctor/nut on food stages. Most struggle with chicken breast even after starting solids at 5-6 weeks post op. eating too dense of food before the right time may affect you negatively so please think about what you are eating post op. regardless, congrats to your good recovery so far. Chris R 217 Posted March 20, 2013 I hope it was 30g of Protein, not 30 oz!
LINDANACK 15 Posted March 20, 2013 Your stomach is not ready for food, all you are doing is creating a problem for down the road, take it from a person who suffered miserably from eating whole foods too early. And you should be taking 60-80% Protein at this time or you'll lose your hair.< /p>

I'm trying to get more Protein in but drinking it is not helping much. Thanks for the advice I will be very mindful
sharonintx 1,275 Posted March 21, 2013 Good for you being able to eat the chicken at your own pace. You go girl! Don't worry about the nay-sayers. I would like some chicken too. If you got the ok to have it - then enjoy every bite. Luckily for us, the nay-sayers probably do not have a license to practice medicine. Otherwise we'd all starve.
