So that is how jeans are supposed to fit! *pic*

Recommended Posts

Finally got my drains out and decided to try a pair of jeans on for the heck of it. It was honestly the most eye opening, surreal, amazing moment in my life! I always wondered what it was like to have pants fit properly. Even with all my weightloss I still had to wear my pants below my excess skin tummy roll. What a difference an extended Tummy Tuck makes. I had to slap myself a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming!

Just curious, how was the Tummy Tuck recovery compared to the sleeve? I'm hoping my skin will bounce back, but I'm 42 and have had 2 kids, so it probably won't.

**whistles** You look great!! You always did have a handsome face (from before & after pics, not that we know each other ~ haha), but now you have a great bod too! You must be so proud of yourself!! I know I would be!

I have heard that tummy tucks are very painful....so you're obviously very brave too!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
