amytug 996 Posted March 19, 2013 Ok, please Explain this to me? In monkey language. I realize a billion and 2 people who have gone before me have figured this out all by themselves, but I can't quite wrap Mu brain around it. I'm aiming for 48 oz. of Water a day. I barely make it, but I've had a tummy big for a week. I'm almost 17 days out now and I don't see how I'll ever get this t in of I'm also eating and setting the timer accordingly. Especially if I'm eating 5 small meals a day, say what!? Maybe I need a really strict schedule? Care to help me make one? I don't even really know where to even start. Thanks on advance Oh yeah, also! How do you space out your Vitamins? I think I'm gonna get a fat pill box and take them at diff times of the day. And can anyone ACTUALLY get down their FOUR huge Calcium wafers a day?

abetterme4.2 268 Posted March 19, 2013 Amy...I couldn't get mine in, either. When I remembered how people were going to the ER for dehydration...I remembered hydration first, then food. There was no way I was getting 5 meals a day in plus my Water. I am 9 weeks out and still don't. Although this week has finally started picking up for me. Which I am EXCITED about. Some people I see eat 4 ozs at one sitting. I can't. Mine is more like 2 ozs. On solids. I cant even eat a whole egg!! WTF?! liquids are easier for me. Up until this week, I have survived on 3 Protein shakes per day. And it usually takes me an hour to an hour and a half to finish one shake. I don't think it was an issue or something wrong, nor was it a pain in my butt, my tummy just wouldn't hold it. I am up to about 750 cals. per day. (I am now having more food and 2 shakes per day) I take all my supplements in the a.m. With the exception of calcium citrate. I will usually take it at lunch or dinner. I don't have any additional medications to go with those, so yours may be different. Hope this helps some.
Cristin 73 Posted March 19, 2013 Celebrate brand has an ENS drink that includes a Multivitamin and half your Calcium dose. They also have a drink mix with your Multivitamin, calcium and 25 g of Protein. Honestly combining as much of the Protein, Vitamin and liquid requirements as possible makes things so much easier. Make everything you eat count towards something you need to get in in a big way; no 7g of protein per cup stuff. And I'd hate to take more than my Vitamin D and Iron in pill form like a jillion times a day. And the only way I've been able to get everything in is to use (drumroll, please...) SIPPY CUPS! Seriously, I just sip from one all day so that in total I have 8-10 sippy cups (at 8 oz each) of Liquid Protein, liquids, and Vitamin drinks. Sippy cups have been a lifesaver and I'm so glad my doc recommended them.
