dynamitetee 24 Posted March 18, 2013 Hey sleevers, I will be sleeved on Thursday. YEAH! However, I am confused with how much calcium citrate I should be taking. My doctor says 3,500 mg/daily. But when I read about what others were told to take, it was no more than 1,500mg daily. WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TAKING OUT THERE?! PLEASE HELP! Taking to much Calcium or not enough will result in major health problems. Thanks. Dynamitetee
Tstorm1070 192 Posted March 18, 2013 Mine says 1, 200-1, 500 mg a day
mikeross 216 Posted March 18, 2013 I take 2 500mg UPCalD packets and at least another 500mg from food I eat... 1500mg daily on average. 3500mg daily is way overkill and not needed IMO.

Megs81 41 Posted March 19, 2013 I have been told 1000 to 1200. I think it depends on your starting weight and age. I i would ask your Dr and see what they say. I didn't need to switch to citrate until I was 6 weeks post op
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted March 19, 2013 1500 mg is a good amount. And if you like caramel, chocolate, strawberry chews, it gives you a valid reason to eat SF candy 6 times a day ( most chews are 250 mg). Lovin' the Bariatric Advantage caramel calcium chews.< /p>
